Amon Chiropractic Center P.C. Feel Better with Amon Chiropractic

Our Services

Our efforts are centered on the Nerve Supply, which is centrally located off the spine. First, we relax the muscles along the spine. Special tables mildly stretch the back and allow the doctor to feel where there is motion or fixations. Next, gentle manual manipulations are used to encourage motion in the joints. Considerable effort is placed to check the muscles, in order to relax contracted ones and strengthen those that are weak.

Dr. Amon uses a variety of techniques and seeks to get feedback from you as to which ones work best for you. Diversified Technique is the most common chiropractic adjusting technique. The Activator adjusting instrument is a “hands off” approach. Applied Kinesiology tests the function of the many muscles. Rehabilitation helps you improve by utilizing various exercises. Equipment such as interferential current therapy, ultrasound, and traction are also used.

Chiropractic Subluxation

During the history and exam we will be looking for evidence of “Subluxation”. Chiropractic is a health care discipline dedicated to finding the neurological “cause” of peoples’ health problems. Chiropractic has discovered that the neurological “cause“ of what people are experiencing is often found in what we call a subluxation.

Subluxation is defined as when the individual joints of the spine don’t move how they should, or when the vertebra are in the wrong position causing irritation to the nervous system. The nervous system is heavily involved with sensations like pain and the healing process we all count on.

Arthritis affects everyone in different ways. In some, joints in the spine, fingers, wrists, shoulders, knees — even toes — lose their normal shape and large amounts of fluid and debris fill the joint space.

Sports Injuries

Though there is no such thing as a “safe” sport, highly competitive sports, such as football, weightlifting, gymnastics, and wrestling, pose particularly higher risks of injuries, especially among children.

Chronic headaches and migraines afflict many Americans. The severity of pain can go from mild and intermittent to episodes of debilitating throbbing, unrelenting agony, as well as nausea.

Whiplash is an injury to the cervical spine, or neck, and occurs when the muscles and other soft tissues are hyperextended or hyperflexed.

Osteoporosis is a gradual disintegration of bone and it can have a devastating impact on the joints and vertebrae of your spine.
